What is a Syndicate?

A syndicate is a group of players who buy lottery tickets together and share the winnings according to the number of shares they each purchased. The more shares you buy, the bigger your portion of the winnings will be. In addition, the syndicate allows you to enter a draw with more lines than you could buy playing alone.

What are the UK Lottery prizes?

The national UK lotto offers 5 different prizes, including the jackpot. The value of the prize in tiers 5 is fixed, but the value of prizes in tiers 1-4 depends on the number of tickets sold. If there are multiple winners for any given prize tier, the amount is divided equally between the winners. Check out the national lottery prize breakdown and odds of winning in the table below:

What is a Bonus Ball?

The Bonus Ball is the seventh number that is drawn from the remaining numbers after all the main six numbers have come out. That also means the Bonus Ball is unique and cannot repeat any of the main numbers. The Bonus Ball is designed to give you an additional chance to match the remaining number and win a great prize - the second-tier prize.

You don't need to pick the seventh number, any of your chosen numbers can be used to match the Bonus Ball.

How to win the UK Lottery?

To win the UK Lotto jackpot, you need to match all six main numbers, but you can also get a prize by matching just three numbers. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 45,057,474 but the overall chances of winning a prize in the UK Lottery are 1 in 9.3.

You can find the latest results and winning numbers on our UK Lotto Results page right after the draw. Compare your numbers with the winning combination to see if you won a prize.

What happens if nobody wins the UK Lotto jackpot?

If nobody wins the jackpot, which starts at £2 million, the jackpot continues to roll over for a maximum of 5 times. The 5th rollover will be a ‘Must Be Won’ lottery, and if nobody wins the jackpot in this instance, a jackpot roll down will take place, in which the jackpot will be distributed amongst all cash winners.
