Lotto betting involves placing a wager on the outcome of a lottery game. You’ll select the game you wish to play, choose your numbers, and pay a set price for your bet, but you won’t actually receive a physical ticket. Instead, you are wagering that the numbers you choose for the lotto will come up in the official draw.

After the draw is held, your entry will be checked against the official results and if you match enough of the numbers drawn to win a prize on the game, you’ll be paid out, just like if you had gone to the shop to buy a ticket.

To find out more about how betting on lottos works at Jackpot.com, visit the Lotto Betting page.

A

We take our duty of customer care very seriously. As we are licensed and regulated by the UK Gambling Commission, we are obligated to ensure that all our players who win prizes are paid promptly and in full. All prizes won by players on jackpot.com will be paid as if you were redeeming a winning ticket in a shop, and we will endeavour to get your winnings to you as soon as possible.

A

You cannot create a lottery betting syndicate on Jackpot.com – that is, you cannot use your account on this site to bet on lottos as part of a group. You can purchase entries on your own for upcoming draws.

If you wish to play lottery as part of a syndicate then we offer this facility for Euromillions, Thunderball and the UK Lotto. Just visit our Lotteries page and select the relevant lotto you wish to play as a syndicate. Although you cannot create your own syndicate, you do have the opportunity to play with all other Jackpot.com members.

A

Jackpot.com does not buy official tickets for any of the lotteries available through our betting service. When you bet on lottos through our site, you are placing a wager on the possible outcome of a specific draw for a particular lottery game. To that end, no tickets are ever purchased by Jackpot.com.

To find out more about how lotto betting works on our site, visit the Lotto Betting page.

A

Betting on a lotto game is playing the game in a conventional way. You’ll choose the game you’d like to play, select your numbers (or have them generated for you via the Quick Pick option), and pay for your wager. Once that’s done, all you have to do is sit back and wait for the results to come in to see if you’ve won a prize. You don’t even have to worry about buying a ticket!

A

If you win the jackpot, you will need to get in touch with our Customer Support team to arrange for receipt of your winnings, as the payment method for your prize will differ from the process for smaller windfalls. You can get in touch by phone, email or live chat by visiting the Contact Us page.

A

Yes. When you bet on a lottery and place your order, a copy of the order can be found in the Transactions section of your account. You’ll be able to check your lotto numbers and find other details about your order.

A

The subscription service makes sure you never miss a draw. Your lucky numbers for a draw of your choice will be entered automatically for a selected time period.

A

It’s simple! Once you have chosen your lottery and your selected your lucky numbers all you need to do is click the ‘Subscribe’ option before clicking ‘Continue’. You can choose the duration of your subscription from the drop-down box next to the ‘Subscription’ option.

A

The payments will be made at the time of purchase. For example, if you have selected to subscribe to the EuroMillions for 6 weeks, you will be billed for 6 weeks’ worth of draws at the time of purchase.

A

You can select your preferred duration from the drop-down box under the betting slips. You can also select which draws you would like to be entered in if your preferred lottery has multiple draws per week.

A

Of course - you can modify your subscription with our Customer Experience Team via chat, phone or email. Changes must be made at least 24 hours before the next draw.

A lottery syndicate is a group of people who join together to buy shares in a collection of lottery lines, sharing any prizes won proportionally to the number of shares each individual owns. For example, if your syndicate won £1 million and there had been 100 shares in the syndicate, then each share would be worth £10,000. Owning three shares would mean you would receive £30,000 whilst owning 10 shares would win you £100,000 and so on.

These groups can be formed of friends, family, colleagues or, in the case of Jackpot.com, other users of the website. Joining an online lottery syndicate means the organisation of the group, the buying of the tickets and the dividing of the prizes is all take care of on your behalf, allowing you to relax and enjoy the experience of playing.

Lottery syndicates are popular because they can play far more lines in each draw than most individuals can afford, providing much improved odds of winning for the members.

A

The more lottery tickets you play in a draw, the better your chances are of winning prizes, including the big-money jackpots. While this isn’t always feasible for someone playing on their own, it’s an extremely smart method for those taking part in a lottery syndicate. The group can purchase more tickets, considerably improving the odds of winning a prize.

Not only are you more likely to win the top prize, which can reach up to €190 million (around £152 million) for EuroMillions, but having a large number of tickets played on your behalf also allows you the chance to claim multiple awards in the other prize tiers, which can build up to a respectable total.

A

Syndicates will close on the site close approximately 15mins before the official lottery draw to allow all orders to be complete. New syndicates for the next draw will open immediately once the current draw has been finalised. For more information on the official lottery draws please visit the respective pages below:

UK Lotto

Thunderball

A

The EuroMillions draw takes place on Tuesday and Friday evenings at approximately 21:00 CEST (20:00 BST).

Ticket sales for both the Tuesday and Friday draws close at 20:45 CEST (19:45 BST) on the evening of the draw. Ticket sales for the next EuroMillions draw will re-open by 22:00 CEST (21:00 BST).

A

Jackpot.com organises different types of lottery syndicates to suit everyone’s tastes, with each syndicate offering different benefits for the players who buy shares. Whether you want to guarantee that your group will match a certain number of balls or just enter a syndicate where the lottery lines are selected at random, there is a EuroMillions, UK Lotto or Thunderball syndicate for you. Have a look at the types of syndicates we provide:

Random Selection

A fixed number of lottery entries are selected entirely at random for this syndicate. Each entry has as much chance of winning as any other, and by buying shares in a group holding multiple entries, you will improve your chances of hitting the jackpot.

Whichever type of lottery syndicate works best for you, visit the Lotteries page now to buy shares in UK Lotto, EuroMillions and Thunderball groups.

A

The numbers played by a Jackpot.com syndicate are chosen specifically to fit that type of group. For example, a EuroMillions syndicate that guarantees an additional number match will play every possible combination of two Lucky Stars to ensure that one line will definitely contain both Lucky Stars drawn, while the main numbers are selected at random and remain constant throughout every line.

Players do not have the chance to choose their own numbers, but it is possible to see the numbers picked for each syndicate before you buy shares.

A

Dividing Wins

All the prizes won by a syndicate in a single draw are added together and divided equally between all the shares in the group. The more shares you hold in a syndicate, the bigger your own prize will be. For example, if your group won a EuroMillions jackpot of £50 million and there had been 50 shares in the group, each share would be worth £1 million. If you owned three shares, you would receive £3 million in prize money.

Paying out Prizes

Prizes are paid into your Jackpot.com as soon as possible. While you can withdraw up to £1,000 at any time, you will need to contact Customer Support to arrange the receipt of any winnings that are worth more than £1,000.

A

The multi-draw option for syndicates lets you buy shares in advance for a set number of draws. If you buy shares in syndicates for five draws in advance, you will save ten percent on the cost of your shares. Purchasing shares in syndicates for ten draws in advance will see you receive a 15 percent discount on your order. If you buy shares in a syndicate for 50 draws, you will receive a 25 percent discount.

A

Jackpot.com does not currently provide site users with the option to start their own lottery syndicates. Should this change in the future, we will inform all site users at the earliest opportunity.

A

If you select a multi-draw syndicate option, Jackpot.com will endeavour to enter you into the same syndicate for every draw until the specified end of the multi-draw period. However, this is not always possible due to extenuating circumstances beyond our control. If we cannot guarantee that you will play in the same syndicate as you have previously, we will enter you into a syndicate that is as close to the original one as is possible. Please be aware that the price of the shares may vary by up to five percent from the original cost.

If there is no syndicate for a subsequent draw that matches your original syndicate, or the price varies by more than five percent, we will cancel your multi-draw package and refund your money for the remaining draws.

A

Yes, you can purchase a single share for an upcoming lottery draw. While the minimum purchase required is one share, you can always purchase more!

A

Jackpot.com strives to create efficient lottery syndicates in which all shares will be sold prior to the relevant draw. However, sometimes not all of the shares will be sold. If this happens, the syndicate will still take part in the draw as planned, and all lines purchased for the syndicate will still be played. We guarantee that your syndicate share and your odds of winning will not be affected by this. Should your syndicate win a prize, you will be paid according to the number of shares you purchased.

A

Players cannot select their own numbers when playing in lottery syndicates through Jackpot.com. The shares are purchased in advance of the draw, which means that the numbers have already been chosen. All you need to do is select the number of shares you’d like to buy!

If you wish to change your username, you will have to open a new account and use a different bank card and email address. Your username needs to be between 6 and 10 characters and should not include the symbols : = < > or have more than one period (.) in a row.

A

You can change your password in the Personal Details section of your account by updating your selection and saving the changes. Just bear in mind that your password needs to be between 6 and 10 characters.

A

Payment methods cannot be registered to multiple accounts for security reasons. If Jackpot.com’s system finds that your credit card has already been registered to another account on the site, it will bring up an error message.
As from 14th April 2020, credit card payments or e-wallet payments in which credit cards have been used to deposit money into the e-wallet will not be allowed from UK players, in line with the Credit Card Ban in the United Kingdom. UK players will also not be allowed to renew their subscriptions with these types of payment methods. Please contact Customer Support for additional assistance.

A

When you sign in, the Transactions page will display a complete record of your deposits, withdrawals, wins, one-time entries and subscriptions, to help your monitor your own activity.

A

Your account may have been locked or blocked because we are legally obliged by the Gambling Commission to carry out checks to ensure all your sign-up information is correct. For example, we must ensure you are over 18 and thus legally allowed to wager, but there are also other checks we need to make.

You will have been contacted by operations@jackpot.com who will have requested some documents from you. If you could kindly reply to that email with the correct documents then your account will be unlocked. While it is blocked, we are not allowed to let money leave your account, but any active entries you have will still go on and any winnings on those entries will still be credited to your account.

A

You can close your account by visiting the Account Status section of your account details. Here you can choose to suspend your account for a certain period of time, or if you would like close your account completely then please contact our Support Team.

A

If you find that you cannot close your account, it may be that a lottery has yet to take place for which you have bought syndicate shares, there are winnings pending to your account or you still have money in your account which can be withdrawn. If you wish to cash out money, you can go to My Account and select Withdraw. For more information, contact customer support.

A

An automated email will tell you if you have won one or more prizes in a lottery draw. The details are also available to view in your lottery account and you can choose whether to withdraw the money or use the funds to pay for future entries.

You can find the latest winning numbers from individual lotteries on the Results pages for each lottery soon after the draws take place, checking them against the numbers you have played.

A

Jackpot is the name given to the top prize in a lottery. You will usually have to match all of the main numbers drawn to receive a lottery’s jackpot..

The jackpots, and other large prizes, of some lotteries are taxed within the country in which they are played, with various governments withholding a percentage of cash prizes above a certain level. The country you are playing in and your personal circumstances can change your tax responsibilities, so it is best to check for yourself should you win.

A

Non-jackpot prizes are often referred to as secondary winnings. They can be worth anything from a few pounds to a seven-figure sum depending on which lottery you play and how many numbers you match or your syndicate matches.

A

Lottery winnings are paid directly into your player account, after which you can withdraw them into your bank account if you wish. However, you can also pay for future syndicate share purchases using the balance in your player account rather than making another payment from your chosen deposit method.
Please note that as from 14th April 2020, in line with the Credit Card Ban in the United Kingdom, UK players will not be allowed to deposit money to their accounts via credit cards or e-wallets in which credit cards have been used to deposit money into the e-wallet.

A

Jackpot.com does not charge commission on prizes won by lottery syndicates, meaning that the share of the prize pot you win is the amount you will keep.

A

Taxation on lottery winning is highly variable depending on where you are playing the lottery from and your own personal circumstances. It is therefore better for you to check for yourself with a financial expert to get some real advice.

A

If you play through Jackpot.com and you or your syndicate wins a jackpot, you will not be able to claim the prize anonymously, as you may be asked to take part in marketing activities promoting news of your group’s win. However, no identifying details will be released without your permission.

A

If your bet or your syndicate wins a large lottery prize, you may be asked to take part in marketing activities to promote news of your win, but no personal information will be exposed unless you give your consent to do so.

A

All prizes will be paid into your account at the earliest possible time. If you have placed a bet, then all your winnings will be transferred into your players account at the earliest possible opportunity once they are processed.

If you have played a syndicate then your winnings must first be calculated based on the number of shares you bought and the amount your syndicate has won. For example, if you owned two shares in a syndicate which owns 50 entries for a draw, and the syndicate won £50,000, this means that each winning share would receive £1,000. However, since you bought two shares, you would win £2,000.

Once the winnings have been deposited in your account, you can then withdraw the funds or use them to spend on future syndicate purchases.

A

If your bet or your syndicate wins a top prize, you will be notified by our Customer Support team after the relevant entries have been checked against the official results.

You may be asked to take part in marketing activities to promote the news of your win. Please see the help page on what will happen to your personal details after a win to find out more about the process.

A

You cannot win a lottery without participating or buying a ticket, so if you receive a letter, email, phone call or message saying you have won a lottery you haven’t entered then it is almost certainly a scam. If there is any doubt about whether the correspondence you have received is a scam, then it is best not to respond.

It is important to remember that Jackpot.com will only send you emails about winning a prize for draws in which you have purchased syndicate shares.

If you have any questions about a letter, email, phone call or message you have received, then do not hesitate to contact us for further assistance.

A

The most common sign of a lottery scam is receiving a letter, email, phone call or text message saying you have won a prize in a lottery that you have not entered. You cannot win a lottery that you did not participate in or buy a ticket for, so these forms of correspondence are definitely scams and you should not respond to them.

Some of the letters, emails, phone calls or text messages you may receive might identify you as a winner that was selected at random via your email address or telephone number, and that you must contact them in order to claim your prize. They will often ask you to include bank details to release the “winnings”. These are likely malicious attempts to gain access to your financial information or charge you a premium rate to call a blank number, so do not follow their instructions and contact your local official lottery provider if you are in any doubt about what to do.

Some scam letters might request that you pay a “processing fee”, after which the funds will be paid to you. Under no circumstances should you respond to them or make any payments to them. You will never be asked to pay a fee to receive prizes from any legitimate lottery you have entered.

You will also often see that scam notifications will often use the words ‘legal’ or ‘legitimate’ to try and lure you into the false sense of security that they are genuine, when in fact they are not.

If you are ever unsure about whether a letter, email, phone call or text message you received is a scam, you should always contact the relevant lottery provider directly through their official website, or you can contact us, as we may be able to be of assistance in finding the proper channels for you to report the scam to the authorities in your area.

A

If you have received a suspicious letter, email, phone call or other message, do not engage in any form of contact with the sender. It is best to ignore the correspondence by deleting it or throwing it away. You should never respond with personal or financial information of any kind.

You may wish to contact the official lottery provider in your area to alert them to the scam in your area so that they can take appropriate action.
