Whether you’re new to the game or looking for more details, you’ll find answers to the most commonly asked questions right here. If you still need help, our Customer Experience Team is always happy to assist.

How does Eurojackpot work?

To take part in Eurojackpot, players choose five numbers from 1 to 50 and two Euro Numbers from 1 to 12. There are 12 prize tiers, meaning you don’t have to hit the jackpot to win something. The jackpot is awarded for matching all 7 numbers, but smaller prizes are available even for matching as few as 3 numbers in total. Draws take place every Tuesday and Friday evening in Helsinki, Finland.

When and where are the Eurojackpot draws?

Draws are held in Helsinki, Finland, every Tuesday and Friday at 8:00 p.m. CET (7:00 p.m. UK time). Results are updated on our site shortly afterward, and winners are notified by email.

Absolutely! Even though Eurojackpot is a transnational European lottery, UK players can participate online by betting on the outcome through Jackpot.com. You'll enjoy the same prize amounts as official ticket holders in participating countries, but with the convenience of playing online.

How do I win a Eurojackpot prize?

There are 12 different prize tiers in Eurojackpot. To win the jackpot, you must match 5 main numbers and 2 Euro Numbers. But prizes are available for matching fewer numbers, down to just 2 numbers + 1 Euro Number.

The value of each prize, including the jackpot, depends on the number of tickets sold and the number of winners per prize tier. If there is more than one winner for a given prize tier, the prize will be shared among the winners.

What is the history of Eurojackpot?

The first Eurojackpot draw took place on 23 March 2012, just six days after ticket sales began. Initially launched by seven countries: Germany, Finland, Denmark, Slovenia, Italy, the Netherlands, and Estonia, it quickly expanded to include Spain (2012) and a growing list of other European nations:

2013 - Iceland, Latvia, Croatia, Norway, Sweden, and Lithuania

2014 - Hungary and the Czech Republic

2015 - Slovakia

2017 - Poland

In 2022, Eurojackpot underwent its most significant update to date, adding a second weekly draw and increasing its jackpot cap.

Eurojackpot received a major upgrade in March 2022 to enhance gameplay and increase prize potential:

  • The maximum jackpot was raised from €90 million to €120 million.
  • A second weekly draw was added – Eurojackpot now draws on both Tuesdays and Fridays.
